As we moved from 2019 into a new decade, I found myself painting in response to a season of hiddenness and trust while seeking a clear path in my new role as a full-time artist. I soon realized that often the path isn’t meant to be clear. We are simply called to trust that the One who calls is Faithful.
From this series standpoint, these paintings are my creative response to where I am on my personal journey, but it’s also, I believe a very timely, universal message for today. I think in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic and it’s intrusion into our lives, many of us are finding ourselves on a very “Unexpected Path.”
