My work is very much a response to rhythms in my own life's journey, as experienced through the lens of my Christian faith. It’s a journey of redemption and restoration, of forgiveness and freedom, a tearing down to rebuild.
I’m seeking a way forward that is life-giving and honest and fulfilling, and it’s my desire to journey with others through my art. I approach each painting with the hope that a commonality is found in its message. I paint each one trusting that it is meant for someone, somewhere, and it’s just a matter of their mutual discovery.
My prayer is that my work will inspire you in your journey, to wonder at, and to seek to know, the hope that is found in knowing the deep abiding love of Jesus Christ.

The beginning of a painting is the beginning of a journey to a mystery waiting to be revealed. I enjoy exploring color combinations, and the way the many layers of the paint mixed with wax play off of each other, how textures become visible and composition takes shape. Eventually the painting will take on meaning and direction and the revelation of its purpose is made known to me. What I love about creating expressionistic abstract art is that each painting will reveal itself uniquely to the individual viewer.
