Your new exhibit is amazing. It nearly took my breath away ... So glad that God blessed you with these beautiful gifts for us to see!
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits. And in His word I do hope." Psalm 130:5
As we moved from 2019 into a new decade, I found myself painting in response to a season of hiddenness and waiting and trust while seeking a clear path in my new role as a full-time artist. I soon realized that often the path isn’t meant to be clear. We are simply called to “abide” … to trust that the One who calls is Faithful.
Ironically, many paintings in the "An Unexpected Path" series were completed just before COVID-19 struck. I continued to work on the series in my garage-turned-studio just as the lockdown began in March, 2020. An unexpected path, indeed!
The summer was a time of learning to balance time in the studio with a new rhythm to life. I participated in on-line webinars for spiritual development and explored new ways to market art. I entered a local art exhibit, hoping people would be encouraged to attend the exhibit and realize that art and all the joy and healing and beauty it brings will not be silenced.
While we're living in this season of uncertainty, for me "All is well with my soul" as I abide and continue to trust that the One who calls is Faithful.
